Staying Agile: How one Startup re-positioned themselves

 Startups change and they change fast. We're all used to that fact. But it never fails to amaze us to hear stories of agility in startup businesses. That was the case within Getaguard recently, a gig-economy startup focussed on the manned security industry.

They had been focussing on connecting SIA licensed security personnel with businesses in the UK, particularly in London. However, after going to the supermarket only to be greeted with nothing in the form of food, it was clear that something had to change. The issue of course was the HGV driver shortage within the UK, crippling supply chains everywhere. Setting out to change that, the team at Getaguard had created an HGV Jobs page within the evening to begin collecting applications from job hunters.

They knew they would also have to get new entrants into the market, and they reached out to training providers, the job centre and the press to get the ball rolling on that front to get enough people back into the industry to ensure supply chains could function properly in the run up to Christmas.
